How To Install Joomla in Your Web Hosting Account

In this tutorial step by step install Joomla in your web hosting account. Just a few clicks then install Joomla your web hosting. We install Joomla version 3.x but you can install any version.

Server Requirement

  • PHP Compatibility − PHP 5.4 or high
  • Disk Space: 5 GB or more is better
  • Bandwidth: 100 GB or more is better
  • MySql Databases: 5 or more is better

Server configuration is the most important when you are using Joomla CMS. Joomla is a very lightweight but server speed is very important for loading your Joomla website. You will choose mostly high RAM and high processor. Shared hosting is not good for the CMS website.


Step by Step Install Joomla 3.x

Step 1. Open the Hosting Admin panel. Use the admin username and password then login to your Cpanel. This username and password provided your hosting company.

Step 2. After login opens hosting Cpanel account and then scroll down. Look the Extra Features row click Softaculous Auto Installer. This software quickly installs your server.

Step 3. This is the Softaculous Auto Installer panel. This panel has many more options but we have clicked the Joomla CMS icon.

Step 4. Open Joomla install section and then click the install button.

Step 5. Choose the install version you want to install.

Step 6. If you do not want to install in a folder, leave the Directory option blank. If not, write the name of the directory.

Step 7. Change admin settings very carefully

  1. Write Admin Username. Whatever you want.
  2. Write Admin Password. Write this password very strong minimum of 12 letters.
  3. Write Real Name. Whatever you want.
  4. Write Admin Email. You can write any type of email id.
  5. Language is default English but you can choose anyone.
  6. Click install.

Don’t change any other option. Don’t go to Advanced Options.

Step 8. Joomla installation is starting. Take 1-2 minutes.

Step 9. You see two URLs. The first URL is Joomla installation URL and the second URL is the Joomla admin dashboard URL. Then logout Softaculous Auto Installer panel.

Joomla installation complete. Copy the Joomla admin URL. This is the URL to open the Joomla admin dashboard.
